How to Obtain the Saudi CB Certification

Saudi ArabiaCB Certification Application Process

Basic Information:

· The application includes relevant information about the applicant, manufacturer, production facility, and product.

Each model unit's product should be applied for separately.

·Products of the same model from different manufacturers should be applied for separately.

Stage 1: Application Receipt

· Upon receiving an application that meets the requirements, the certification body issues an acceptance notice to the applicant, instructing them to submit or send the relevant documents and materials.

· Additionally, the certifying body sends out notifications regarding fees.

· Applicants shall provide the required documents to the certification body.

· Applicants must fill out the payment receipt after payment is made.

[Note: Companies are generally required to provide the following information: assembly drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.; a list of key components and/or main raw materials; descriptions of differences between product models within the same application unit; other required documents.]

Stage 2: Documentation Review

During the document review phase, product certification engineers must divide the applications into units.

· After unit segmentation, if sample testing is required, the product certification engineer will send a sample dispatch notification and corresponding payment notification to the applicant. Additionally, the applicant is notified to send a sample reception notification to the relevant testing institution.

Stage 3: Sample Receipt

· Samples are delivered to the testing facility by the applicant.

· After payment is made, applicants are required to fill out the payment receipt accordingly.

·The testing institution inspects the received samples, fills out the sample acceptance report, and issues a sample correction notice for non-compliant samples. A new sample acceptance report is then filled out after corrections are made.

· After sample acceptance, the testing agency fills out the sample testing progress report and submits it to the certification body.

· Upon receiving the sample testing progress from the certification body, a formal acceptance notice is issued to the applicant upon confirmation that all related fees have been paid, and a testing task document is sent to the testing institution, marking the official commencement of the sample testing.

Stage 4: Sample Inspection

· During the type test stage, the company should: send test samples, required parts and technical documents, keep track of the test progress, and make timely corrections according to the sample testing rectification notice if any non-compliant items arise.

· Upon completion of the sample testing, the testing agency fills out the sample test result notification.

The testing institution will also transmit the test reports and other documents to the certification body.

Stage 5: Qualification Assessment

· Product certification engineers collect and organize the results from each stage before conducting an initial assessment.

· Qualified assessors conducted a re-evaluation of the aforementioned results.

Stage 6: Certificate Collection

· Certification authority director issues certificate.

· Applicants print the certificate collection slip and pick up the certificate in person at the certification authority or request it to be mailed.
