CB Certification Application Process
Basic Information:
The application includes relevant information about the applicant, manufacturer, production facility, and product.
Each model unit's product should be applied for separately.
·Products of the same model from different manufacturers should be applied for separately.
Stage 1: Application Submission
Upon receiving applications that meet the requirements, the certification body sends an acceptance notice to the applicant, instructing them to submit or send relevant documents and materials.
· Meanwhile, the certifying body sends out notices regarding fees.
· Applicants shall provide the required documents to the certification body.
· Upon payment, applicants are required to fill out the payment receipt as instructed.
[Note: Companies are generally required to provide the following documents: assembly drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.; a list of key components and/or main raw materials; descriptions of differences between various models within the same application unit; other required documents.]
Stage 2: Documentation Review
During the document review phase, product certification engineers must segment the applications into units.
· After unit segmentation, if sample testing is required, the product certification engineer will send out a sample submission notification along with the corresponding payment notification. Additionally, the applicant will be notified to send a sample reception notification to the respective testing institution.
Stage 3: Sample Receipt
·Samples are directly delivered to the testing facility by the applicant.
· After payment is made, please fill out the payment receipt as required.
·The testing institution conducts acceptance checks on the samples received, fills out the sample acceptance report, and issues a sample correction notice for non-compliant samples. A new sample acceptance report is filled out after corrections are made.
After sample acceptance, the testing institution fills out the sample testing progress form and reports it to the certification authority.
·Upon receiving the progress of sample testing, the certification body issues a formal acceptance notice to the applicant upon confirmation that all relevant fees have been paid, and dispatches the testing task to the testing institution, marking the official commencement of sample testing.
Stage 4: Sample Testing
·During the prototype testing phase, the company should: send test samples, required parts, and technical documents; understand the progress of the test; and promptly make corrections in case of any non-conforming items, following the sample testing correction notice.
· Following the sample testing, the testing agency fills out the sample test result notification.
·The testing institution will also transmit the test reports and other documents to the certification body.
Stage 5: Qualification Assessment
· Product certification engineers collect and organize the results from each stage before conducting an initial assessment.
· Qualified assessors conducted a re-evaluation of the above results.
Phase 6: Certificate Collection
· Certification Agency Director issues certificate.
· Applicants print the certificate pick-up slip and collect the certificate in person from the certification authority or request it to be mailed.
