As of October 1, 2018, domestic production and imported products must be compulsorily applied for under the new standards; market enforcement/control for products covered by the standards will begin on September 1, 2019.
June 8, 2018, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) issued Resolution No. 164 in its public bulletin.
January 1, 2019 marks the official implementation of SASO 2902 standard.
