CE Certification Fee
CE Certification, as a product certification, requires specific analysis based on product information. Factors affecting the cost of CE certification mainly include:
How much is the CE certification?
Products vary, as do the EU directives (regulations) and testing standards corresponding to them, leading to different testing costs. Since testing costs constitute a significant portion of certification fees, the certification costs will vary accordingly. To illustrate, an air conditioner, a household appliance requiring testing and assessment under the LVD and EMC directives, is different from an excavator, a mechanical product needing safety evaluation under the MD Mechanical Directive. The directives and testing standards used are entirely different, hence the costs are not the same.
For instance, air conditioners and electric kettles, although both are household appliances, require testing and evaluation under the LVD and EMC directives. However, the testing standards differ, and the cost of testing an air conditioner is significantly higher than that of an electric kettle. Therefore, the specific cost will depend on the product in question.
