Skylights significantly improve lighting in deep buildings, even with simple interior and exterior flat skylights, which can effectively increase the illumination at distances of 4 to 9 meters from windows throughout the day, enhancing the overall evenness of light in the room. The upper openings of the skylight panels are smaller, which will not significantly increase the air conditioning load; moreover, the skylight panels, while allowing sunlight into the room through the upper openings, also provide external shading for the larger lower openings.
