SMT assembly refers to the abbreviation for a series of processing procedures performed on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) base.
SMT stands for Surface Mount Technology, a popular technique and process in the electronics assembly industry. It refers to the Surface Mount Technology (SMT), also known as Surface Mount or Surface Mounting Technology. This is a method of mounting non-leaded or short-leaded surface-mounted components (abbreviated as SMC/SMD) on the surface of a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) or other substrates, and assembling them by methods like reflow soldering or immersion soldering.
In most cases, the electronic products we use are assembled from PCBs and various electronic components such as capacitors and resistors, following the circuit diagrams designed. Therefore, a variety of electrical appliances require different SMT surface mount technology processes for manufacturing.
