Four Common Methods of Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe Production
Most steel is processed through pressure deformation, which causes the processed steel to undergo plastic deformation. There are mainly four production methods for stainless steel seamless tubes.
1. Rolling: A pressure working method that involves passing billets through the gap between rotating rolling mills, reducing the material's cross-section area and increasing its length, commonly used in the production of steel pipes.
2. Drawing: a process of reducing the cross-section and increasing the length of rolled billets by pulling them through die holes.
3. Forging: Utilizing the reciprocating impact force of a forging hammer or the pressure from a press to change the billet into the desired shape and size.
4. Extrusion: A method that involves placing billets inside a closed extrusion cylinder, applying pressure at one end to force the billets through a specified die opening, resulting in different shapes and sizes.
