Technical Description of Impulse Voltage Generator

1  The synchronous ball gap is sealed within an insulated drum, equipped with observation windows at each ball gap level. Each level is equipped with a bracket for placing tuning resistors and connecting rods, capable of holding six resistors and four connecting rods.

6  The generator body is equipped with a safety grounding mechanism, which can be operated on the controller or locally. The grounding mechanism shorts the generator's main capacitor to the ground using a steel belt, ensuring there is no residual charge. The generator's charging circuit features an automatic grounding solenoid, which automatically grounds the solenoid mechanism upon stopping charging or pressing the emergency button, discharging the main capacitor through a grounding resistor. Both grounding mechanisms are interlocked with the control system, preventing any misoperations.

3  The wavehead and wavetail resistors are constructed using a plate-shaped design, made with copper wire for non-inductive winding. They are externally vacuum cast with insulating resin, featuring spring-pressed terminals for easy installation.
