Introduction:

The Winding Impulse Voltage Tester (also known as the digital programmable winding tester) efficiently and non-destructively conducts electrical tests on components with wound coils. Its principle involves applying the same pulse voltage to both a standard winding and the test winding, comparing their transient waveforms to assess the quality of the tested winding. The transient waveform, which represents the decaying oscillation within the coil, allows for the simultaneous determination of the inductance, quality factor, the difference in the number of turns, and the inter-turn short-circuit conditions of the winding. In the presence of an iron core, it can also distinguish material differences. Under high-voltage pulse application, the occurrence of corona discharge can be used to judge poor insulation. In summary, all the elements that indicate the quality of the winding can be checked in a very short time.

This instrument uses microcomputer technology to quantify and process various parameters of waveforms, then displays and evaluates them with intuitive waveforms and data. It is easy to operate, accurate in judgment, and highly automated.
