I. Introduction

The environment for laying power cables is extremely complex, and pinpointing cable faults is crucial throughout the fault testing process. Under current technological conditions, there are relatively good solutions for measuring the distance of power cable faults. However, even with the most accurate measurements, due to laying reasons and environmental influences, only an approximate range can be determined, not a precise location. This leads to high labor intensity, significant盲目ness, and low efficiency.

In light of these developments, our company has developed the XFH-200 Cable Fault Precision Locating Instrument, an innovative product that integrates discharge acoustic wave display, fault distance digital display, and features high anti-interference and sensitivity for precise fault pinpointing. Based on the time difference method of acoustic-magnetic signal transmission, it combines high-performance digital filtering circuits with low-noise design. The product employs acoustic measurement, magnetic field surveying, and acoustic-magnetic synchronization methods for mutual comparison and verification, ensuring precision and efficiency in pinpointing. It also allows for multi-path testing based on environmental constraints, features a silent mode and an intuitive user interface, and boasts ultra-high anti-interference capabilities and multiple filtering frequency bands, enabling precise and rapid pinpointing of various cable faults.

Section II: Features

The 4.3-inch high-brightness OLED color LCD is utilized, which is unaffected by strong light conditions, resulting in a clearer display interface.

Utilizing a programmable pulse code keyboard for smart and convenient operation.

Utilizing four filtering frequency bands: low, mid, high, and full, with timely selection.

Utilizing digital filtering technology to process audio signals, resulting in more pronounced characteristic frequency bands and superior filtering performance.

Fault distance is displayed digitally, with a range of up to 25 meters.

Audio signal waveform displays allow operators to easily observe repetitive waveform characteristics and approximately determine the distance to the fault point along the axis. Operators find it less fatiguing to monitor waveforms, and in the single-mode setting, they can conduct detailed analysis of audio waveforms up to 15 meters in range, supporting page navigation.

Single and continuous modes available for selection based on actual conditions, with detailed waveform analysis and overall periodicity analysis.

The noise-canceling feature ensures that operators are protected from harmful noise exposure when moving the probe.
