Chapter II: Instrument Introduction

2.1 Working Principle

This instrument is a high-tech product designed based on the reflection principle of electromagnetic waves during transmission and the principle of electromagnetic induction, integrating digital filtering, wireless reception, and software control.

Electromagnetic Induction: Its basic working principle involves a transmitter generating electrical and magnetic waves, which are then transmitted to underground metallic pipelines through various transmission connections. Upon感应 to the electromagnetic waves, the pipelines produce induced currents on their surface. These currents propagate along the metallic cables, and in the process, radiate electromagnetic waves back towards the ground. When an underground pipeline detector's receiver is on the ground, it receives the electromagnetic wave signals directly above the metallic pipelines. By analyzing the intensity variations of the received signals, the location and direction of the underground pipelines can be determined.
