    Electromagnetic Interference Tester

    2024-03-29

A powerful handheld electromagnetic interference (EMI) analyzer, offering users a quick assessment of whether their EMI compliance is up to standard. This cost-effective testing solution provides a fast evaluation of compliance.

Avoided the use of expensive EMC test equipment, saving time and money. The provided EMI probe set TP-EMI-HS6 includes three magnetic (H-field) probes and one electric field (E-field) probe.

The EMI analyzer features a multi-window option. In each window, either the full spectrum or a selected portion of the spectrum is displayed simultaneously. The drawback of a standard RF spectrum analyzer is that it has only one display.

Several different parts of the signal cannot be amplified simultaneously. The handheld EMI analyzer's multi-display options allow for convenient simultaneous viewing of multiple parts of the spectrum. This enables users to better understand the analyzed signal.

In addition to the spectrum, time-domain signals can also be observed to simultaneously analyze the signal shape.

The multiple display options can also be used for time-domain signals.

There are three operation modes: Normal, Average, and Hold. The Normal mode displays the spectrum of the source tracking. The Average mode effectively reduces signal noise, allowing for more harmonic or carrier detail to be seen. You can select the number of spectral averages you wish to apply.

Maintain the high level of the displayed signal for frequency measurement, showing the historical peaks across the frequency axis. The average and hold history can be manually cleared to initiate a new measurement.

Amplitude units can be set to dB, dB V, dBmV, dBμV, dBμV (at 10 meters), and dBm. The amplitude range can be set to one of three ranges: 0 to 100 dBμV, 20 to 120 dBμV, or 40 to 140 dBμV.

To accurately measure amplitude, the default is to use a flat-top window. In addition to the flat-top window, you can also select from eight other windows.

The Electromagnetic Interference Analyzer can also be used as a general-purpose spectrum analyzer. With a double-conical antenna or a combination antenna, it can measure frequencies from 10 MHz to 500 MHz.

The powerful functionality of the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Test Meter lies in providing users with a rapid and accurate EMI compliance test. This cost-effective testing solution avoids the need for additional expensive EMC test facilities, saving time and money. The EMI Analyzer's probe set TP-EMI-HS6 includes three magnetic (H-field) probes and one electric field (E-field) probe. The tripod ensures the probe is correctly positioned on the object being tested.

The Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) analyzer boasts an exceptionally high resolution bandwidth of up to 7.45 Hz (spanning 500 MHz), which is unparalleled among similar instruments. Consequently, it allows for a thorough analysis of the details in every part of the spectrum.

The 140dB wide dynamic range allows for the measurement of various interference frequencies. The limits according to EN61326-1:2006/EN55011:2007 standards can be toggled on or off. Resolution bandwidth and frequency range can be selected individually.

There are three operating modes: Normal, Average, and Max Hold. The Normal mode displays the spectrum of the source trace. The Average mode is effective in reducing signal noise, allowing for more harmonic or carrier detail to be seen. You can select the number of spectra to average. Max Hold displays the highest level reached by the signal, which is very useful in frequency measurements, showing the historical peaks on the frequency axis. The Average and Max Hold history can be manually cleared to start a new measurement. Utilize the extensive marking features in the graph to measure various aspects of the spectrum.

Amplitude units can be set to dB, dBV, dBmV, dBµV, dBµV (10 meters), and dBm. The amplitude range can be set to three options: 0 to 100 dBµV, 20 to 120 dBµV, or 40 to 140 dBµV. For precise amplitude measurement, a flat-top window is typically used. In addition to the flat-top window, eight other windows can be selected.

The Electromagnetic Interference Analyzer can also be used as a general-purpose spectrum analyzer. With a biconical antenna or a Combilog antenna, it can measure frequencies from 10 MHz to 500 MHz.
