Guizhou Province's Wudang District Meteorological Bureau in Guiyang City has installed a portable multi-element automatic monitoring station inside the strawberry greenhouse of impoverished villager Li Zhigang. The monitoring station can collect various meteorological elements during the strawberry's growth period, helping farmers better defend against disasters such as frost and severe weather.

Wudang District Yangchang Town Jia Gang Village is a poverty alleviation project of the Wudang District Meteorological Bureau. Local villager Li Zhigang cultivated 28 acres of strawberries. A frost in early winter of 2017 caused significant economic losses. He reported this situation to the meteorological bureau through the local meteorological information officer, hoping to establish a meteorological monitoring station within the strawberry greenhouse.

After understanding the villagers' needs, the Wudang District Meteorological Bureau installed a portable automatic weather station inside the strawberry greenhouse and began to allocate a regional automatic station for the strawberry farm area. The district meteorological bureau also included Li Zhigang as a special agricultural service recipient to send targeted weather forecast and warning information, reducing the losses caused by disaster weather.
