Incorporating信息化 to drive the modernization of education is the essential path to achieving high-quality and balanced development in education. On the afternoon of May 7th, the third National Basic Education Informationization Application Display and Exchange Activity came to a close at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center. During the event, participants from all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps showcased a series of achievements in the deep application of basic education informationization through various forms such as physical works, graphics, videos, and scene experiences.
Collaborative Sharing: Exploring the Path to Resource Equilibrium
Currently, the National Resource Service Platform for Education can offer over 31 million entries of basic education resources for search and download. The content spans grades 1-12, encompassing 808 versions of textbooks across various subjects. It has preliminarily established a timely-updated digital educational resource system covering all grades and subjects in primary and secondary schools, and all resources are freely accessible to schools and teachers across urban and rural areas.
Meanwhile, various regions have made positive progress in exploring the application of information technology to promote the co-construction and sharing of educational resources. Beijing has adopted the "city-level promotion of basic education + district-school building of characteristics" model, establishing an effective guarantee mechanism of "service monitoring - performance evaluation - comprehensive analysis" to promote the supply-side structural reform of educational resources and the innovation of personalized educational service models; Yunnan has achieved this through the 1+N interactive teaching method, enabling teachers in rural central schools to simultaneously teach students at affiliated teaching points, promoting cross-school teaching among teachers in the region, addressing the issue of insufficient teachers in remote and impoverished areas, and ensuring that all schools in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Shangjiang Town and Laowozhen offer and perform music and art classes well.
Innovative Integration: Supporting the Scientific Reform of the New College Entrance Examination
Shanghai and Zhejiang are among the first regions in China to pilot comprehensive reforms in the national college entrance examination system. Shanghai implements a recruitment and admission system based on "two foundations and one reference," developing a comprehensive quality evaluation information management system. This system provides high school students with informationized collection, presentation, and management support based on integrity for their development and performance in areas such as morality, intelligence, physical fitness, and aesthetics. The comprehensive evaluation big data serves the personalized growth and career planning of high school students, supports the improvement and characteristic development of high schools, and facilitates the comprehensive evaluation recruitment process of universities. It plays a supporting and crucial role in Shanghai's comprehensive educational reforms. Nurturing内涵 development: Promoting the vigorous development of maker education.
This exhibition also features a dedicated area with interactive experiences focused on maker and STEAM education. A series of applications showcasing new technology forms such as 3D printing, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, as well as innovative teaching and learning models like STEAM and maker education, provide inspiration and reference for exploring interdisciplinary learning and the connotative development of education. At the event, a team of sixth-grade students from Baijiazhuang Primary School in Chaoyang District, Beijing City demonstrated a "butler-type" robot equipped with remote monitoring, humidity sensing, and fogging spray functions. The robot was reportedly developed through collaborative efforts by several students during their participation in school clubs and curricula, utilizing interdisciplinary knowledge in microcontrollers, 3D printing, and simple circuits.
