For power systems with different voltage levels, the grounding method of their neutral points varies. In China, according to our national conditions, the 6~66KV distribution systems primarily employ a small current grounding operation mode. To effectively prevent arc grounding in the system, eliminate grounding faults, and improve the quality of power supply, in accordance with the new regulations of the national specification for overvoltage protection design, arc suppression coils should be installed when the grid's capacitive current exceeds 10A.
