Focusing on the "Two Mountains" philosophy, strengthening ecological civilization construction, the dredging and excavation equipment industry has rapidly risen. Among them, HID Haohai's dredging ships stand out in terms of practical application rates. What are the requirements for lubricants during the operation of these dredging ships?
Below, we introduce the requirements for dredging ship lubricants.
The dredger has a smaller hull volume and fuel tank capacity, requiring less lubricating oil to be stored. During operation, the oil temperature tends to be higher, thus demanding excellent thermal stability and antioxidant properties of the lubricant.
Due to the harsh environmental conditions of river water, with high levels of coal dust, rock dust, and moisture, lubricating oil is inevitably contaminated by these impurities. Therefore, it is required that the lubricating oil for dredging ships possess excellent rust and corrosion resistance, as well as anti-foaming properties. It is also necessary that the performance of the lubricant does not change significantly when it becomes polluted, indicating a low sensitivity to contamination.
3. Due to significant temperature variations in outdoor machinery throughout the year, as well as large diurnal temperature differences in some areas, it is essential that the lubricant's viscosity change minimally with temperature. This ensures that the oil does not become too thin during high temperatures, failing to form a lubricating film and thus not providing adequate lubrication, and also that it does not become too thick during low temperatures, causing difficulty in starting and operation.
4. For certain dredging equipment, especially machinery used in mines prone to fire and explosion accidents, it is required to use flame-retardant lubricants (flame-retardant fluids) with good flame resistance, and flammable mineral oil cannot be used.
