The Differences Between Partitioned Shelves and Beam Shelves

The primary difference between partition shelves and beam shelves lies in their structure. To put it simply, partition shelves are beam shelves with steel or wooden shelves laid on top. Partition shelves evolve from beam shelves, but the primary focus of partition shelves is on lightweight shelves, medium A shelves, and semi-heavy shelves. These three types of storage shelves all contain partitions, with heights around 2500mm and a load capacity of ≤500kg per shelf, utilizing manual handling for goods storage.
The primary difference between partitioned shelves and beam shelves lies in their structure. To put it simply, partitioned shelves are beam shelves covered with steel or wooden partition plates. Partitioned shelves evolve from beam shelves, but primarily refer to lightweight, medium A, and semi-heavy-duty shelves. These three types of storage shelves all contain partitions, with a height of about 2500mm and a load capacity of ≤500kg per level, utilizing manual product handling.

The I-beam racking, also known as heavy-duty racking or pallet racking, is a type of heavy-duty racking. In cases where the load-bearing capacity of partitioned racking is high, a combination of I-beam racking and partitions is often used, which is also referred to as heavy-duty shelf racking. Generally, I-beam racking refers to high-bay racking, with heights exceeding 3000mm and a load capacity of ≥1000Kg per shelf. Products are stored on the beams of the I-beam racking together with their pallets, and forklifts are used for loading and unloading.

Indeed, there is an intricate connection between partitioned shelving and beam shelving. The difference lies solely in whether the storage shelves are fitted with partitions or not. Therefore, when purchasing storage shelves, customers should determine based on their actual usage needs whether to opt for partitioned shelving or beam shelving.

High-Bay Heavy Duty Racking Features and Structure: Heavy-duty racks are typically loaded with pallets and storage bins after equipment is fully loaded and then stored on the racks. These racks usually have a capacity of 4,000 kg per unit, with two units typically on each level. Heavy-duty racks are one of the widely used and versatile racking solutions, suitable for most warehouses or products.

High-bay heavy-duty racking boasts a 100% item selection feature. Forklifts and other transport machinery can access any item location for storage operations, making the process convenient and quick! Storage operations are performed using mechanical handling equipment. Each storage unit on the rack is typically within 4 meters, with a depth usually not exceeding 1.5 meters. The height generally does not exceed 12 meters, with the specific height depending on the warehouse design.

The high-position heavy-duty shelving is assembled with columns, beams, and crossbeams, featuring inclined and self-locking bolts to prevent the shelves from falling off after bolt loosening. The beams are made of special cold-rolled P-shaped closed beams, offering a simple and reliable structure, lightweight, strong load-bearing capacity, and low cost. When the column clips are connected to the columns, there are specially designed safety pins to ensure that the crossbeams will not fall under force impacts. The decking boards use world-class steel strips, characterized by strong load-bearing capacity, wear resistance, easy replacement, and low protection costs.
