Advantages of Vacuum Furnace Vacuum Heat Treatment Technology
The vacuum furnace is an industrial furnace heated by electrical heating elements in a near-vacuum state.
Vacuum heat treatment technology offers several advantages:
Achieve oxidation-free and decarburization-free heatingDue to the molds being heated under vacuum, the residual gas oxygen partial pressure is low, resulting in no oxidation or decarburization on the surface, and no formation of any toxic by-products.
Small deformation, uniform hardnessDue to vacuum heating primarily relying on heat radiation under high temperatures, the low-temperature convection is weak, resulting in slow heating. This leads to a small temperature difference between the surface and the core of the workpiece, causing more even expansion and contraction, and thus reducing the thermal stress and minimizing deformation of the workpiece.
Enhance workpiece plasticity and strengthSolid-state metals undergo heat treatment under vacuum, which results in degassing on the surface, thereby enhancing their plasticity and strength.
Cleaned workpiece surfaceThe oils adhering to these objects under vacuum are of the ordinary fatty acid family, consisting of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen compounds with high vapor pressure. When heated in a vacuum, they are volatilized or decomposed, and then removed by the vacuum pump, resulting in the purification of the workpiece surface.
