S7-200 Series PLC Subroutine Call Instruction with Parameters
Parameters (variables and data) may need to be passed in the program, in which case the corresponding parameters can be included in the subroutine call instruction, allowing them to be transmitted between the subroutine and the calling program. Parameters (variables and data) include symbolic names (up to 8 characters), variable names, and data types. Subroutines can pass up to 16 parameters. The parameters passed are defined in the subroutine's local variable table. The variables in the local variable table include IN, OUT, IN/OUT, and TEMP types.
● IN type: Pass the location parameters into the subroutine. The addressing method can be direct addressing (e.g., VB10), indirect addressing (e.g., *AC1), or immediate value (e.g., 1234). You can also pass the address value of the data into the subroutine (&VB100).
