Cotton knitted fabrics shrinkage originates from three aspects: fiber shrinkage, yarn shrinkage, and fabric (loop) shrinkage, all of which are related to fabric tension. Therefore, anti-shrinkage methods and technologies can be adopted through the following four approaches:

Minimize the tensile force applied during wet processing of cotton knitted fabrics as much as possible.

b. Prior to bleaching and dyeing, the grey fabric is subjected to a relaxation wet treatment to ensure full shrinkage and densification of the fabric.

c. Silk finish treatment implemented.

d. Post-washing, dyeing, and printing, the fabric undergoes a shrink-resistant finishing process involving forced shrinkage.
