Common Methods for Garment Wash Cleaning

1.普洗: Common washing refers to the basic cleaning process, achieved by adding softeners or detergents to make clothes appear more natural and feel softer and more comfortable after washing. Depending on the washing time and amount of additives, it can be categorized into common washing, common washing with softener, soft washing, light common washing, and heavy common washing. With the advancement of technology, there are now options like non-iron common washing and non-iron nano common washing available.

Enzyme Wash: Enzymes, a type of cellulase, can degrade fiber structures at specific pH levels and temperatures, allowing fabrics to be gently faded and de-pilled (creating a "peach skin" effect) while achieving a lasting softness. They can be used in place of stone washing. When used together with stones, it is commonly referred to as enzyme stone wash; when used with rubber balls, it is known as enzyme ball wash. Depending on the amount of auxiliary agent and time, enzyme wash can be categorized into enzyme wash, heavy enzyme wash, enzyme sand wash, heavy enzyme sand wash, enzyme silicone oil wash, enzyme abrasion wash, enzyme wash with over-dyeing, heavy enzyme stone wash, durable wash, long-lasting wash, green ball wash, and biological polishing wash, etc.

Chemical Wash: Chemical washing primarily achieves color fading through the use of strong alkaline additives, resulting in a noticeable worn-out look on the washed clothes. Adding a softener further enhances the soft and full-bodied feel. Incorporating stones into the chemical wash, known as stone washing, intensifies the fading and wear effects, giving the clothes a stronger antique feel. The combination of stone washing and chemical washing achieves a simulated antique and fluffy effect. It can be categorized based on the amount of additives and time into chemical wash, heavy chemical wash, chemical sand wash, heavy chemical sand wash, chemical wash with dry hand feel, chemical wash with frayed edges, and chemical enzyme stone wash.

4. Bleaching: Bleaching can be categorized into oxygen bleaching and chlorine bleaching. Oxygen bleaching utilizes the oxidizing action of hydrogen peroxide at a specific pH level and temperature to break down the dye structure, achieving the purpose of fading and whitening. The bleached fabric may have a slight reddish hue. It makes white clothes appear even whiter. Hydrogen bleaching employs the oxidizing action of sodium hydrosulfite to break down the dye structure, achieving the purpose of fading. Hydrogen bleaching produces a rougher fade, commonly used for indigo denim. After bleaching, it is recommended to neutralize any remaining chlorine in the water and on the fabric with sodium metabisulfite to stop the bleaching process. Subsequent stone-washing is then performed after bleaching.

5. Stone Wash: After the garment has been polished with pumice stones and treated with additives, certain areas (such as bone parts, collar corners, etc.) will exhibit a degree of damage. Washing the garment will result in a more pronounced worn effect.

6. Stone Wash: This technique involves adding various sizes of pebbles to the wash water to abrasively clean the clothing. Depending on customer specifications, options include Yellowstone, White Stone, AAA Stone, artificial stone, or rubber balls for different washing effects. After washing, the fabric surface appears slightly faded and worn, with the degree of damage to the clothing ranging from mild to severe. The process can be categorized into light stone wash and heavy stone wash based on the amount of additive used and the time spent.

7. Stone Washing: This process often employs alkaline and oxidizing additives to achieve a slight fading effect and a worn appearance on the garments, with a gentle action. When combined with stone grinding, the fabric surface will develop a soft, milky white fluff. Adding a softener further enhances the softness and suppleness of the washed fabric, thereby improving comfort. Stone washing can be categorized into light and heavy based on the amount of additives used and the duration of the process.

8. Home Laundry: A washing method that involves adding a certain amount of detergent during the wash cycle, followed by air drying on a clothesline instead of using a dryer after spinning.

9. The Classic Weathering Wash utilizes a higher amount of strong alkaline oxidizing and reducing agents during the washing process, achieving a fading effect on clothing at specific pH levels and temperatures, with a noticeable fading result. Additionally, there are also Sanding Wash and Weathering Wash methods.

Silicon Wash: Adding silicon-based chemicals during the washing process results in soft and fluffy fabric after washing.

11. Vintage Wash: Garments exhibit a strong fading effect under the action of alkaline substances, and can be abraded with stones to create minor damage in areas such as bone structures and collar corners, resulting in a noticeable worn-out look after washing. This process can be categorized into antique wash and aged wash based on the amount of additives used and the duration of the wash.

12. Soft Wash: During the washing process, special soft oil is added to make the clothes feel exceptionally soft and supple after washing.
