① Silk cotton has a better luster than pure cotton (the surface is smooth after mercerization, with less diffused reflection of light); ② Silk cotton is stronger than pure cotton (the natural twist disappears, and the fibers are tightly arranged with increased cohesion); ③ Silk cotton has better size stability than pure cotton (the cellulose molecules are rearranged, and the original internal stress is eliminated).

Chemical Properties:
