What is Lyocell Fiber (LF)?

The G100 Tencel without cross-linking agents boasts a strong hygroscopic expansion property, particularly along the warp direction, with an expansion rate reaching up to 40%-70%. When the fiber swells in water, the hydrogen bond forces between the fiber molecular axes are broken. Under mechanical stress, the fiber splits along its axis, forming longer primary fibers. Improper handling can lead to pilling and an unattractive appearance. LF Tencel, on the other hand, undergoes cross-linking treatment before the G100 Tencel filaments are dried, aiming to reduce the degree of primary fiber formation.
