Cooling fabric processing method
Existing processing methods for cool fiber on the market include:
Cooling Fiber: The processing methods for cooling fibers generally fall into two categories. The first is the physical blending method, which involves mixing high molecular polymer granules with mineral powders that have good thermal conductivity, ensuring uniform blending, and then producing cooling mineral fibers through conventional spinning processes. Common cooling mineral fibers include mica fibers, jade powder fibers, and pearl powder fibers, with mica fibers being particularly prevalent due to their stable chemical properties, good thermal conductivity, water absorption, and insulation. The second method involves adding edible xylitol to the fiber spinning solution, allowing the xylitol to distribute evenly on the fibers after spinning. Testing with an infrared temperature tester shows that fibers with added xylitol absorb heat quickly. Cooling fibers can also be achieved through the design of the fiber cross-section, creating a longitudinal multi-grooved structure that enhances wicking function. Currently, fibers with irregular cross-sections are mainly obtained through melt spinning, with different die plate shapes enabling the production of "Y" and cross-shaped irregular fibers. The design of the fiber cross-section also imparts a "capillary effect" to the fibers, enhancing their heat dissipation speed.
2. Cooling Agent Treatment: Cooling treated textiles achieve the instant cooling effect by adding cooling microcapsules or xylitol cooling agents to common fabrics through conventional immersion, padding, or coating methods. The processing technology of cooling microcapsules mainly involves refining new materials with cooling properties, then using these microdroplets or microparticles as the core, allowing polymer film-forming materials to deposit on them, forming a thin film that encapsulates the functional material within the capsules.
