Firstly, differentiate between the spun yarn and SSY silk.

Pre-twisted yarn involves first twisting the FDY yarn on a doubling machine, followed by further twisting through a false twisting device (with the twist direction being the same), which sets the yarn. Then, the twist is reduced (decreasing twist degree) and the yarn is wound. SSY, on the other hand, is a parallel-type drawn yarn produced by spinning high-shrinkage polyester chips with regular polyester chips using a twin-screw extruder. It is easily distinguishable from pre-twisted yarn in its raw form, as the pre-twisted yarn has twist, whereas SSY does not. In the finished product, SSY yarn retains elasticity and coils like a spring even after untwisting and stretching. Conversely, pre-twisted yarn, after untwisting and stretching, lacks elasticity and will break with slight force.
