Although warmth retention is closely related to fabric thickness, users tend to dislike overly heavy bedding items such as blankets. Therefore, the basic requirement for current bedding is to be both warm and lightweight. A common method to achieve this is to create a porous, hollow structure within polyester fibers, containing a large amount of non-circulating air, and to shape the outer surface into a spiral curl to maintain fluffiness, thus providing good insulation while maintaining a light texture. Additionally, by adding special ceramic powders such as chromium oxide, magnesium oxide, and zirconium oxide to the spinning liquid of synthetic fibers like polyester, especially at the nanoscale, these powders can absorb sunlight and other visible light and convert it into heat, offering excellent insulation and heat retention properties. Furthermore, a finishing agent is formulated with far-infrared ceramic powder, binder, and cross-linking agent, applied to the fabric for coating, followed by drying and baking. This treatment makes the nanoceramic powder adhere to the fabric surface and between yarns, providing functions such as antibacterial, odor prevention, and circulation promotion.
