Artificial cotton: A plain weave cotton fabric woven from viscose short fiber yarn.

Features: The fabric is clean, smooth, soft, moisture-wicking, and has a strong drape, but it is prone to wrinkles, not resistant to water washing, and has poor shape retention. The shrinkage rate is about 10%, exceeding that of cotton. Due to its intolerance to water, artificial cotton should not be soaked for long during washing; it should be soaked and washed simultaneously. Pre-wash with clean water first to easily remove stains and minimize damage to the garment. Gently rub with hands, and for particularly dirty areas, use a soft-bristled brush or gently rub with hands; avoid using a stiff brush or scrubbing board. Since artificial cotton is not resistant to strong alkalis, use laundry detergent instead of laundry soap. When rinsing the washed garment, fold it and squeeze out the water with a large handful, or wrap it in a towel and squeeze out the water; do not twist or wring it. As artificial cotton is not resistant to sunlight, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight when drying; air drying is preferable.
