Hidden stripes refer to the phenomenon where the size of the coil changes periodically during the machine's operation cycle, resulting in a sparse and uneven pattern on the fabric surface. Generally, the likelihood of hidden stripes being caused by raw materials is low; more often, they are produced due to the timely adjustment of mechanical wear, resulting in periodic uneven tension, which in turn causes the hidden stripes.
The causes are as follows: a. Due to low installation accuracy or severe wear from equipment aging, the horizontal and concentricity deviation of the circular needle cylinder exceeds the allowable tolerance. Common issues include excessive gaps between the positioning pin of the drive large gear disk and the locating slot of the machine frame, which causes the cylinder to operate unevenly, severely affecting yarn feeding and circle removal. Additionally, aging equipment, mechanical wear, and increased longitudinal and transverse vibration of the main drive gear disk exacerbate the deviation in the cylinder's concentricity, resulting in fluctuations in feeding tension, abnormal coil sizes, and, in severe cases, hidden horizontal stripes on the pre-shrunk fabric.
b. During the production process, foreign matter such as fluff gets embedded in the variable speed disk slider of the yarn mechanism, affecting its roundness. This leads to abnormal speed of the synchronous toothed belt and unstable yarn feeding, resulting in the formation of hidden horizontal stripes.
c. The circular loom utilizes a negative type yarn feeding mechanism, which has the drawback of significant differences in yarn tension during the feeding process, easily causing unexpected elongation of the yarn and discrepancies in the amount of yarn fed, thereby forming hidden horizontal stripes.
d. The circular machine with an intermittent winding mechanism experiences significant tension fluctuations during the winding process, leading to variations in the length of the coils.
