Artificial cotton: A plain weave cotton fabric woven from viscose short fiber yarn.

Features: The fabric is clean, smooth, soft, moisture-wicking, and has a strong drape, but it is prone to wrinkles, not resistant to water washing, and has poor shape retention. The shrinkage rate is about 10%, exceeding that of cotton. Due to the fabric's intolerance to water, it should not be soaked for long during washing. It should be soaked and washed simultaneously, first rinsed with clean water to easily remove dirt and minimize damage to the clothing. Gently rub with hands, and for particularly dirty areas, use a soft-bristled brush or gently rub with hands; never use a stiff brush or scrub with a washboard or wooden stick. Since the fabric is not resistant to strong alkalis, use laundry detergent instead of laundry soap. After washing, remove excess water by folding the garment, squeezing out water in handfuls, or wrapping it in a towel to squeeze out water; do not twist or wring it. As the fabric is not resistant to sunlight, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight when drying, and air drying is preferable.
