Bedsheet home textiles require fabrics with moisture permeability due to their inherent usage characteristics. This permeability can be achieved through the fabric structure, such as by using a double-layered construction. The close-fitting inner layer is made of hydrophobic fibers, while the outer layer is made of hydrophilic fibers. This allows sweat to be transferred from the skin to the inner fibers by capillary action. Subsequently, due to the stronger affinity between the outer hydrophilic fibers and water molecules compared to the inner hydrophobic fibers, the water molecules are once again transferred from the inner to the outer layer of the fabric, eventually evaporating.
