During the initial operation, the chain conveyor requires a one-month磨合期, which is mainly divided into the following stages: Inspect the pipeline chains daily for a week; if the chains are loose, tighten them immediately. Continuously check the chains in the pipeline for two weeks; if loose, tighten them. If there is wear, investigate the cause of the malfunction first. After three to four weeks, inspect twice a week, paying attention to wear. If the damage is severe, determine the cause first. After replacement, inspect once a week to ensure the tightness of the chains and the normal operation of the equipment.

In the design of pipe chain conveyors, the strength verification of the conveyor belt is typically based on static tension during operation, with other factors considered to determine the safety factor. The main factors affecting the strength of the conveyor belt in pipe chain conveyors are as follows:

Static tension is the guarantee for the stable working tension of the belt conveyor. When the belt has the same tension internally, the tensile stress distribution caused by static tension is even. As the belt operates, alternating tensile stresses are produced, which form the basis for selecting the belt's strength.

2. Dynamic tension is the braking of the conveyor belt. Each particle's speed, the chain's conveying speed, tension, and disturbance possess dynamic characteristics and are functions of time.

3. Additional stress in the mesh conveyor belt includes bending stresses around the drum due to vertical and horizontal bending sections, as well as additional stress in the transition sections. In engineering design, accurately selecting the drum diameter, the spacing and shape of the transition drums, and the bending radius of the belt conveyor can significantly reduce these additional stresses.
