Welded Abrasion-Resistant Plates, a modern type of composite wear-resistant steel material, has been promoted and used in industrialized countries since the 1960s. With the advancement of science and technology and the demand for market economy development in our country, the special properties and practical economic value of the wear-resistant welded plates are now gradually being recognized and utilized by forward-thinking managers of some large industrial and mining enterprises, which has created considerable economic benefits for the companies.
Antirust Brand Steel Plate Factory is one of the largest suppliers of wear-resistant clad plates in China. Its products are sold in over 10 provinces and municipalities across the country. The comprehensive performance is as follows:
Unmatched wear resistance performance ratio:
Wear testing reveals that the wear resistance of the carbide chrome surfacing wear-resistant plate is 10-30 times higher than that of ordinary steel plates, 5 times higher than cast stainless steel and high manganese steel, 1 time higher than cast high-chromium iron, and roughly equal to ceramic. HRC ≤ 63.
2. High Impact Resistance Ratio
The base material is made of Q235A soft steel, with a surface treated using a multi-element carbide chrome wear-resistant overlay composite super-hard material. This fully demonstrates the dual advantages of composite materials, which possess both exceptional wear resistance and impact toughness, surpassing cast wear-resistant materials. Traditional castings have poor impact resistance and are more brittle, prone to fracturing.
3. Processing ease performance ratio:
Maintenance workers can freely cut and shape materials on-site to fit the dimensions (plasma cutting), conveniently welding wear-resistant steel plates onto the surfaces of worn components (carbon steel face), and also processing them into countersunk holes for bolt connections on structures. They can also form internal cold bends into shapes such as wear-resistant pipes, dust elbows, and various non-standard round-to-square components. (Wear-resistant castings cannot be assembled using welding methods, and it is difficult to cast large-area wear-resistant plates from cast steel. Additionally, traditional castings are often heavy due to the design of reinforcing ribs to prevent deformation.)
4. High-performance, low-cost ratio:
Although the cost increases by using wear-resistant cladded plates, which are about 3-5 times more expensive than regular steel plates and 25% cheaper than high-chromium castings, the comprehensive consideration of the service life of the parts, reduced maintenance costs, and losses from downtime and production shortages, demonstrates that the performance of the material, due to its rational utilization, yields a multiple return on investment for production.
