In case the geotextile sack fabric is inadvertently damaged during installation, minor damage can be repaired to minimize loss. Patch materials used to fill holes or cracks should match the sack fabric. The patch should extend at least 30 centimeters beyond the damaged area of the sack fabric. At the bottom of a landfill, if the tear in the sack fabric exceeds 10% of the roll width, the damaged portion must be cut out and the two pieces of sack fabric connected; if on a slope, if the tear exceeds 10% of the roll width, the damaged roll of sack fabric must be removed and replaced with a new roll. The缝合thread should be made of material identical to or stronger than the sack fabric, with a noticeable color difference from the sack fabric for easy inspection.
Workers should not wear shoes or use equipment that may damage the geotextile bags during construction. They must refrain from performing actions that could harm the geotextile bags on the already laid bags, such as smoking or piercing the bags with sharp tools. To protect the geotextile material, the packaging film should be opened before laying out the bags, i.e., unroll one roll at a time. And inspect the appearance quality. (The geotextile bags should be inspected and signed off promptly upon arrival at the site.)
