Superior sculptures must consider the characteristics of materials and craftsmanship. Fiberglass sculptures are easy to mold into beautiful, streamlined shapes, highlighting the modern feel and era of the piece. Design-wise, circular arcs and flowing lines can be employed.
Linear. Additionally, due to the advantages of lightweight and high strength, glass fiber reinforced plastic can be used to create works with strong dynamics and can support small areas.
Sometimes, glass fiber sculptures require a subsequent gel coat application. The gel coat's self-leveling properties cause it to flatten slightly during curing due to surface tension, which is not suitable for detailed textures. Such considerations should be taken into account during design.
The original mold for glass fiber reinforced plastic sculptures can be shaped with clay, while the custom sculptures are handcrafted by artisans. Once completed, after natural drying, the sculptures achieve sufficient strength for the glass fiber reinforced plastic mold production.
Custom sculptures are crafted using the hand-molding technique. Before production, the molds are broken down into multiple units based on the shape characteristics of the sculpture for easy molding and demolding angles. Subsequently, individual units are formed, and then assembled together.
They come together to form an integrated unit, processing and painting the product as a whole, and a glass fiber sculpture is completed.
