Introduction to Magnetic Concrete Technology:

Magnetic coagulation sedimentation is a new type of water treatment device. It operates by introducing magnetic particles (i.e., magnetic powder) into the water purification process of an efficient flocculation sedimentation pool. Through actions such as flocculation, attraction adsorption, charge adsorption, bridging, and net trapping, it effectively combines aquatic pollutants like algae, fine suspended particles, colloids, and bacteria with the magnetic powder (density 5.2), forming larger and denser magnetic flocs. This enhances the flocculation effect, enabling the capture of even finer particle pollutants. The flocs settle quickly, resulting in excellent water purification and clear, transparent effluent. The sludge from the sedimentation pool is pumped to a magnetic powder sludge separation system for recycling the magnetic powder, and the separated sludge is discharged into a sludge pond for dewatering treatment.

Advantages of Magnetic Concrete Technology:

  • High-efficiency deep purification, superior performance (with higher treatment capacity than any existing purification process), outperforming high-efficiency inclined tube sedimentation basins/aeration/filters (tanks)/fibre discs, etc. Capable of effectively removing SS, algae, oils, bacteria, colloids, and their associated turbidity, COD, color, and odors (SS<3mg/L, turbidity<1.0 NTU) simultaneously. Using coagulants like Fe or Al can also deeply remove phosphorus (TP<0.05mg/L). Combined with pre-oxidation, it can deeply remove iron, manganese, and arsenic. Addition of Ca(OH)2 and organic sulfur as pre-chemical precipitation can efficiently remove various heavy metal ions such as Cu, Cd, Hg, Pb, Cr, Zn, Mn, Ni. Addition of Ca(OH)2 for pre-chemical precipitation can soften water quality (reduce hardness/alkalinity).

  • Short system dwell time (<15-20 minutes), saves space, takes up only 1/5 of the area of a slotted tube sedimentation tank or dissolved air flotation (DAF) tank, and 1/20 of a traditional sedimentation tank, with low construction costs.

    Low power, low operating costs.

  • High magnetic powder recovery rate (99.9%), with a 70% lower magnetic powder loss compared to other magnetic絮凝 magnetic separation systems.

  • Water tolerance to changes in water quality, stable effluent standards. Quick startup time (less than 10 minutes).


  • In drinking water treatment, turbidity, color, total organic carbon (TOC), algae, particle count, bacteria and pathogens, cryptosporidium, and iron, manganese, and arsenic removal rates exceed 90%;

  • In wastewater treatment, the removal rates for total suspended solids (TSS), colloidal matter, total phosphorus, heavy metals, and E. coli reach 90% to 99%. Removal rates for BOD and COD are 60% to 80%.
