Compared to traditional low-molecular-weight inorganic salts like ferrous sulfate, crystalline aluminum chloride offers advantages such as lower dosage, larger floc volume, and the ability to effectively remove COD, color, and suspended particles.
2. Castable crystalline aluminum chloride is primarily used in the precision casting industry, serving as a substitute for ammonium chloride as a shell hardener for investment casting. It offers advantages such as stable quality, high shell strength, easy trimming, and improved working conditions for workers. Compared to magnesium chloride and ammonium chloride as hardeners, it requires less usage and has a lower overall cost. Using aluminum chloride as a shell hardener results in higher shell strength and approximately a 3% higher overall yield rate compared to using ammonium chloride or magnesium chloride.
