Compared to traditional low-molecular-weight inorganic salts like ferrous sulfate, crystalline aluminum chloride offers superior performance. 2. Castable crystalline aluminum chloride is primarily used in the precision casting industry, replacing ammonium chloride as a shell hardener for investment casting patterns. Compared to magnesium chloride and ammonium chloride as hardeners, it requires less usage and has a lower overall cost.
