Jiangsu Du'an Environmental Protection NS-4 Comprehensive Protection Device Function:
Submersible Pump Motor Winding Overheating Alarm Control: When a submersible pump motor encounters a fault (overload, phase failure, phase missing), the winding temperature rapidly increases. Once the temperature exceeds 135°C, the resistance of pump signal lines 11#12# or 21#22# is greater than 3K. In this case, the NS-4 integrated protector triggers a fault output, disconnecting the normally closed contact 4 and closing the normally open contacts 19, 20. The winding overheating indicator light on the panel begins to blink as a warning before reaching the protection value, alerting personnel to the overheating fault of the motor until the issue is resolved. During the warning, the fault output does not activate.
2. Submersible Pump Water Immersion Alarm Control: In the event of a leakage fault in the oil chamber of the submersible pump, it endangers the normal operation of the electric pump. When the resistance of pump signal lines 31# and 32# is less than 30K, the NS-4 comprehensive protector's fault output 3, 4 normally closed node is disconnected to cut off the control circuit, forcing the pump to shut down. The oil chamber immersion indicator light on the panel flashes as a pre-alarm upon slight immersion, to remind people to troubleshoot until the fault is cleared, but the normally open/normally closed contacts do not operate until the protective value is reached. Contacts 19, 20 are usually used for fault output, such as alarms to PLCs, etc.
3. Submersible Pump Internal Water Immersion Alarm Control: In the event of a leakage fault in the motor chamber of the submersible pump, it poses a risk to the motor's safety. When the resistance of the pump's 51# signal wire is less than 50K ohms, this device's fault output breaks the normally closed contacts 3 and 4, and closes the normally open contacts 19 and 20. The motor chamber water leakage indicator light on the panel starts to flash as a warning before reaching the alarm value, continuing until the fault is resolved. The fault output does not activate during the warning. This is the principle of the internal water immersion alarm control for the Nanjing Kangzhuo NS-4 Integrated Protective Device.
4. Submersible Pump Motor Insulation and Moisture Alarm Control: During the actual operation of the submersible pump motor, it may gradually absorb moisture when stopped, and the absorption of moisture will be reflected in the gradual decrease of the motor's insulation resistance, which can lead to motor damage. To protect the insulation of the submersible pump motor and enhance its durability, this protective device detects the 71# signal line of the electric pump. When the temperature reaches the dew point, the stop signal is detected through terminals 17 and 18, and after a delay, the device connects the 13, 14 dehumidification heating normally open contact to drive the dehumidification heating unit. The heating will automatically stop when the temperature reaches 70%. If the motor starts up, the control system immediately stops working. The dehumidification indicator light on the panel will keep blinking during the heating process.
5. Submersible Pump Bearing Overheat Alarm Control: When the submersible pump bearing encounters a fault, the temperature spikes. Upon exceeding 105°C, the protection device detects that the resistance on pump 51# signal line is greater than 1.5K. The device then triggers the fault output by opening the normally closed contact points 3, 4 and closing the normally open contact points 19, 20. The panel's bearing overheat indicator light flashes as an alarm before reaching the protection threshold, continuing until the fault is resolved. During the warning stage, the fault output does not activate.
6. Submersible Pump Motor Terminal Box Water Immersion Alarm Control: In the event of a leakage fault in the cavity of the submersible pump motor terminal box, it poses a threat to the motor's safety. When the leakage signal line of pump 41# is less than 50K, this device's fault output disconnects the normally closed nodes 3 and 4 for power cutoff purposes. Normally open contacts 19 and 20 close, and the terminal box water leakage indicator light on the panel starts flashing as an alert before reaching the alarm value, continuing until the fault is resolved. During the early warning stage, the fault output does not activate.
7. Submersible Pump Overload Alarm Control: In the event of a fault with the pump motor due to overcurrent (overload, phase loss, or phase failure), the thermal relay operates. This device outputs a fault at normally closed contacts 3 and 4, and at normally open contacts 19 and 20. The pump overload indicator light on the panel blinks near the protection threshold until the fault is resolved. During the alarm, the fault output does not activate.
