Everyone knows that there are many gears on a transformer box, and different gears result in varying operating speeds of the transformer box. When adjusting the taps, you should base the setting on the output working voltage. Adjust the tap selector switch to the corresponding position. The basic elements of adjusting the tap selector switch are as follows: When the output working voltage of the transformer box is lower than the control value, adjust the tap selector switch from tap Ⅰ to tap Ⅱ, or from tap Ⅱ to tap Ⅲ. When the output working voltage of the transformer box exceeds the control value, adjust the tap selector switch from tap Ⅲ to tap Ⅱ, or from tap Ⅱ to tap Ⅰ. After adjusting the taps, accurately measure the resistance values of various windings using a DC bridge. Check if the intermediate resistance values of the windings differ by more than 2%. If they do, be sure to adjust again. Otherwise, during operation, the circuit breaker may overheat and even arc due to poor contact, potentially damaging the transformer box.
The core's function is to enhance the magnetic coupling between the two coils. This is to reduce eddy current and涡流losses within the iron core; the core is made by extruding coated ferrite magnetic cores. There is no electrical connection between the two coils, which are wound with insulated copper wire (or aluminum cable) cores. One coil connected to alternating current is known as the primary coil (or primary winding), while the other coil connected to high-power electrical appliances is called the secondary coil (or auxiliary winding).
