Deciding the quality of transformers based on their practical application, the manufacturing quality of the transformer itself plays a significant role. Currently, the standards of transformer manufacturers vary greatly. How to judge the quality of transformers? It's about穿透状况 and the actual in and out. Jiangsu Jula Editor teaches you how to assess the quality of transformers.
How to Determine the Quality of Transformers:
Option 1: First, use a digital multimeter's resistance range RX1 or RX10 to measure the primary and secondary electromagnetic coils of the transformer. The resistance should be high in the primary and lower in the secondary coils. Then, measure the resistance between the secondary coils; it should not conduct if the basic measurements are good. Next, consider connecting the digital multimeter to the transformer's primary coil ends in the 50-100V communication voltage range, which means using a dry cell to touch both ends of the transformer's secondary coil electromagnetic coil. If the multimeter's needle shows a significant movement, it is due to the effects of induced electromotive force and mutual induction voltage, indicating that the transformer is functioning normally and no inter-turn short circuits have occurred.
Option Two: Use the resistance scale on the multimeter. Measure the direct current resistance of the primary and secondary coils. If the resistance is low, it indicates that there are no winding resistances. This is merely an estimate; if the electromagnetic coil is blocked and short-circuited, the measurement may not be detectable. Also, check if the secondary is short-circuited or if the secondary is short-circuited with the transformer's iron core. You can also apply alternating current to the primary and secondary. Use the voltage scale to measure if there is any output voltage and if it meets the specifications.
The resistance range on the multimeter can be used to measure the DC resistance of the primary and secondary coils. If the resistance is low, it indicates that there are no turns in the winding. This is merely an estimate, as if the electromagnetic coil stalls and shorts, it may not be detectable. It is also necessary to check if the secondary coil is shorted or if the secondary coil is shorted to the transformer's iron core. Additionally, the primary and secondary coils can be connected to AC current, and the voltage can be measured to see if there is any output voltage and if it complies with the specifications.
The oil transformer boasts cost-effectiveness, environmental friendliness, low noise, and features such as lower electricity sales prices, environmental protection, large capacity, and excellent heat pipe cooling capabilities, making it suitable for outdoor installation. On the other hand, the dry transformer has excellent impact resistance, good toughness, great crack resistance, moisture and cold resistance, and heat pipe cooling capabilities, making it ideal for indoor installation.
