Chain grate cooler test run completed:

3.1 The cold run test of grate should be carried out before the construction of the furnace. Prior to the test run, the rotating parts should be adequately oiled (the whole assembly of boilers should be done during the single machine trial operation), and it should meet the following requirements to be considered qualified:

3.1.1 The cold run time for the chain grate should not be less than 8 hours (for reciprocating grate, not less than 4 hours). The trial run speed should not be less than Level II. During the adjustment from low to high speed, the operation of the transmission device's safety mechanism should be checked, and the speed reducer's safety device (fixed safety) should be adjusted. Steps for adjusting the safety device: a) Use tools to loosen the safety device's positioning large nut and adjust until the safety device activates and the grate stops. b) Immediately tighten the safety device's positioning large nut until it is tight enough for the grate to stop moving.

3.1.2 The grate should rotate smoothly without any abnormal sounds, jamming, lifting, shaking, or misalignment. If the grate arches, it indicates that the grate is too loose; it should be tightened to eliminate the issue.

3.1.3 The grate plates should be able to flip freely and mesh with the sprocket smoothly, without any hang-up, misalignment, or tooth loss.

3.1.4 The shaft should rotate smoothly, meshing with the sprocket should be even, without any hanging, deviation, or tooth disengagement.

3.1.5 The temperature of lubricants and bearings should be normal.

3.1.6 The grate tensioning device should have additional adjustment capacity for further tightening.

3.1.7 After the grate underwent an 8-hour cold-state trial run and passed inspection, the inspector completed the "Chain Grate Cold-state Trial Run Record."

3.2 Iron slag should be neatly adhered to the grate surface, without any jamming or flipping during the operation of the grate.

3.3 The gap between the side seal block and the grate should meet the design requirements to prevent the grate from being jammed and to avoid coal and air leakage.
