Have You Gone "Low-Carbon" Today? In recent years, the concept of a low-carbon lifestyle, emphasizing environmental protection and energy conservation, has gradually come into the public eye, becoming a new, widely promoted way of life. As a result, electric waste collection vehicles have gained popularity. However, many people are unaware of how to maintain them. Proper maintenance is crucial for ensuring their smooth operation and extending their lifespan. Here's a daily maintenance guide that we hope will be helpful to you.

Battery Maintenance

Leaking electric garbage trucks can easily lead to a decrease in battery capacity, and prolonged undercharging can cause severe damage to the battery. Therefore, it is recommended to charge the battery before storage. If it will not be used for a long time, it is suggested to top up the battery periodically.

Do not overcharge the battery by extending the charging time, as it may lead to "overcharging."

During the summer, avoid prolonged exposure to the battery under direct sunlight to prevent increased internal pressure in the battery, which can lead to battery dehydration and affect its lifespan. Additionally, avoid driving in areas with excessive water to prevent long-term submersion of the battery, which may cause a short circuit.

Avoid heavy discharge during loading and startup to protect the battery.

2. Cleaning and Rust Prevention

Regularly clean the vehicle body and apply rust-proof paint or oil to areas prone to rust, such as welds and screw holes, to extend the lifespan of the body.

3. Tire Maintenance

Regularly check tire pressure to ensure it's within the normal range. Pay attention to tire wear, and replace tires promptly if you notice severe wear or cracks, which can pose safety hazards.

4. Inspecting and Maintaining the Brake System

Regularly inspect the performance of the braking system, including the wear of brake pads, brake lines, and other components, as well as the braking effect. In case of any abnormalities or malfunctions in the braking system, it should be repaired or replaced promptly to ensure the safety and stability of the vehicle.

5. Other Important Notes

If an electric garbage truck encounters a malfunction, do not force it to operate. First, inspect the vehicle's condition, and then perform repairs before resuming operations.

Avoid dangerous practices such as over-discharging, overloading, and exceeding speed during use to extend the lifespan of the electric garbage truck.
