Sand makers, also known as sand-making equipment or sand-making machinery, have various names, including sand washing equipment, sand washing water carts, windmill sand washers, and spiral sand washers, among others. Sand washing machines of this type are further subdivided into several different models.
Differences in Functionality
A sand-making machine, literally, is a machine for producing sand. This equipment can crush stones into sand, converting many types of stones into construction sand, such as pebbles, slate, basalt, granite, or weathered sand. These can all be processed into sand using a sand-making machine. Sand-making machines are equipped with crushing and sand-making functions. To elaborate further, a sand-making production line includes a sand-washing machine. Since converting stones into sand inevitably results in sand containing stone powder or mud, the sand-washing machine is necessary for cleaning. Therefore, a complete sand-making production line consists of a hopper, a sand-making machine (also known as a crusher), a separator screen, and a sand-washing machine.
However, the sand washing machine does not include a sand making machine. It is solely used for washing sand, hence its functionality is relatively simple, serving only for sand washing and dewatering. Therefore, the main difference between a sand production line and a sand washing production line is that the sand production line includes a sand making machine (also known as a crusher), which is not present in the sand washing production line.
Washing sand machines are categorized into various types based on their working principles, including water wheel sand washers, spiral sand washers, chain bucket sand washers, and more. All of these are sand washing machines, serving the function of washing sand. However, their production yields are tailored to different types of sand materials. Therefore, a sand washing production line or sand-making production line can be equipped with different types of washing sand machines according to customer needs.
