Composite slabs, as a newly introduced building material, only entered China in the 1980s. With the continuous advancement of composite slab technology, its application scope has become increasingly widespread. Below, we will provide a detailed introduction to the areas of application for the development of composite slabs.

What should be noted when installing floor deck?

Properly gauge the spacing above the floor deck and the distance from other objects to ensure the accuracy and stability of the installation location.

2. Choose the correct floor deck hoisting method and pay attention to the hoisting length to ensure the smooth progress of the hoisting work. The floor deck manufacturer recommends using softer hoisting tools to prevent surface damage to the floor deck.

During the lifting of floor-deck panels, ensure that auxiliary tools are inspected for any damage to prevent accidental dangers during the lifting process.

4. Sequential welding of the floor plate can enhance construction speed.

When pouring concrete materials, ensure even distribution while continuously mixing to enhance the pouring quality.

6. Employees should ensure they are properly equipped with protective gear during the construction of floor decks. While enhancing the quality of floor deck installation, they must also ensure their own stability.

It is crucial during the construction process to maintain precise control over the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the building, as this directly impacts whether the structure will pass inspection, as well as its overall quality and lifespan. Therefore, at this critical juncture, it is essential for us to get it right. How can one properly utilize the level control lines of the floor slab?

1. The horizontal control points used for controlling the pouring surface height before casting are set on the formwork. Due to the instability of the formwork and scaffolding at times, these control points may cause significant deviations. Therefore, after the pouring is completed, we can review the control points on the steel reinforcement against the original control line.

During the racking assembly process, the horizontal control points on the reinforced steel that has been reviewed should be transferred to the racking uprights before the shear wall is enclosed in the mold. This allows for the carpenter's control of the board top level elevation.

Before construction, use the original level control line as a reference to transfer the elevation to the pouring surface for top surface control during concrete pouring. After transferring the level points to the vertical steel bars, a review should be conducted for points that are further from the level instrument.

4. After confirming there are no errors, pass the product to the next process.

Prior to the installation of the floor joists, the structure must be modified to form a robust framework that can bear the weight of the entire floor. Consequently, it must be sturdy, with the main beam being the most critical component of this structure.

The bearing beams connect the support points at both ends of the main wall, and the construction of the I-beams must be accurate, as this is a part of the structure that bears significant loads during the construction process. The process of connecting the main beams initially involves removing the locations of the pre-buried steel plates and leveling the cement wall surfaces, followed by fixing the pre-buried steel plates while maintaining the same construction process for the frames. The measurement of the main beams is crucial, with each beam being measured individually, and the allowable error must not exceed 4mm. The connection of the main beams should be done with a sequence of spot welding, reinforcement, and then full welding, ensuring 360-degree welding at both ends. The I-beams should be placed vertically, with equal distribution of forces. Angle irons connect the main beams to form an integrated structure, with even force distribution. The connection of angle irons requires, according to the specifications for connecting dissimilar steel in steel structures, to cut the top of the insertion part of the angle iron, keeping it level, and using an angle grinder to smooth out any protruding weld points for flat wood laying without creaking sounds. The insertion points should be fully welded, with the allowable elongation and contraction error not exceeding 3mm. After welding is complete, the structure should be perfectly horizontal and vertical, with level surfaces.

Decking boards are widely used in everyday life. Now, our requirements for building materials, including decking boards, are increasingly high, and the standards for their craftsmanship are becoming stricter. Properly controlling the level lines of the decking boards is a detail we pay close attention to during the construction process.

The deck plate requires welding nails, which are generally shear connectors between the steel deck and steel beams, serving as a fixing component and are indispensable in composite deck plate construction. However, failing to weld the nails directly can lead to stability accidents during the concrete pouring process, with severe consequences. Before welding the nails, construction personnel must conduct process parameter tests on the nails produced from different batches, specifications, and materials, as well as the welding machines and torches used, under the same conditions as the site. The nail length must be determined based on the actual situation.
