The construction process of open-web joist equipment steel structure is a gradual progression from the bottom up, evolving from an incomplete to a complete structure. During the process, there are changes in structural shapes, with different stages featuring varying shapes and load characteristics. Consequently, the internal and external load conditions at each construction stage are not entirely the same. It is crucial and important to enhance the quality level of construction materials used in the production of open-web joists, as it plays a significant role and impact on the conduct of construction activities, which is equally crucial and important to customers.
When placing the open-web steel deck on the steel beams, please ensure stability. It is challenging to vertically hoist the deck through the narrow space between the secondary beams due to the arc area, and it disrupts the normal welding process of the secondary beams. When lifting, use soft lifting slings, and inspect the condition of the slings before each operation for any cuts or tears, replacing them immediately if found.
1. First, locate the centerline of the steel beam in the decking area; the main beam centerline serves as the control line for the placement of the floor deck. The main beam centerline governs the overlap width of the steel beam in the floor deck and determines the welding points for the full penetration welding between the floor deck and the steel beam. The secondary beam centerline will dictate the welding position of the full penetration dowels. Since it is difficult to observe the exact position of the secondary beam flanges after the floor deck is laid, the centerline and width of the secondary beam flanges are rebounded onto the main beam centerline. When fixing the dowels, the centerline and width of the secondary beam flanges are rebounced onto the floor deck on the secondary beam surface.
2. The connection between the roof deck and the side panel is selected with a clamp bite press, forming an integral sheet of roof deck. Initially, spot welding is performed on the side edge of the roof deck, followed by fixing the ends, and later, bolt nails are used for securing.
3. At the material storage area, the floor slabs are sorted and sectioned according to the material list, labeled with numbers, clearly distinguishing between layers, sections, and numbers, marked with a marker, and delivered accurately to the designated construction locations.
4. When hoisting, use soft hoisting slings to ensure that the composite deck panels maintain overall integrity without deformation and without curling at the edges. For multi-story steel structure designs, a typical installation process involves installing columns in sections of 3 layers (needless to say for single-story structures). When installing composite deck panels, they should be synchronized with the construction of steel columns and beams, with at least a 3-layer difference. Therefore, the hoisting of composite deck panels can only be done through the beams and columns of the upper layer, and the crane operator should control the lifting at each layer between the beams and columns.
5. Opt for plasma cutting machines or shears for trimming edges, ensuring that the excess material is within a 5mm range during cutting. Measures should be taken during concrete pouring to prevent leakage.
6. Enhanced concrete curing.
Open-web joists are used solely as permanent formwork under cantilever conditions. The cantilever length can be determined based on the cross-sectional characteristics of the open-web joist. To prevent cracking of the cantilever plate, negative reinforcement should be installed at the support according to the design of the structural engineer. When placing open-web joists on steel beams, prevent overhangs. Operators should wear safety belts during laying material.
Edge laying is fixed on the peripheral stable rope. Welding is performed using penetration spot welding, and a test weld with edge materials should be prepared before welding, adjusting the welding current.
Due to the absence of horizontal forms and vertical supports at the bottom of the opening floor deck, the concrete should not be placed too densely during casting. A flat vibrator should be used promptly to distribute the vibration evenly. The product is widely used in power plants, power equipment companies, car showrooms, steel structure factories, and other projects.
Why Would Decking Plates Have Cracks?
We must correctly use open-web floor joists, as improper use can lead to issues, with one common problem being cracking. Below, we'll introduce the various reasons why open-web floor joists may crack.
1. Uneven load distribution on the开口 floor deck can easily lead to cracks. Generally, buildings constructed in strict accordance with the construction specifications should not experience such issues. If they do, it indicates problems during the work process or the use of substandard or不合格 materials.
2. Uneven foundation settlement has caused cracks in the open-web floor slabs due to uneven foundation settlement. As some concrete components and interior and exterior walls develop cracks along the height of the building, it has led to severe deficiencies in concrete strength and thickness, resulting in disasters and accidents.
3. Non-stress cracks are a common type of non-stress crack, primarily caused by factors such as temperature changes, shrinkage and expansion, and construction processes.
