Diesel Generator Set Automatic Transfer Switch Operation Steps Diesel Generator Set Information: The Automatic Transfer Switch cabinet (also known as ATS cabinet, dual power automatic transfer cabinet, dual power automatic conversion cabinet) is primarily used for automatic switching between the main power supply and emergency power supply. It, together with the automatic start-up diesel generator set, forms an automatic emergency power supply system. This system can automatically switch loads such as emergency lighting, security power supply, fire equipment, etc., to the generator set in the event of a power outage from the main supply. It is an indispensable power facility for emergency power supply and fire power supply in banks, airports, radio stations, hotels, and industrial enterprises. There are two methods for operating the ATS automation cabinet: 1. Module Manual Operation: After turning on the power key, press the "Manual" button on the module to directly start it. Once the set starts up and runs normally, the automation module also enters the self-check state. It will automatically enter the acceleration state, and after successful acceleration, the set will automatically connect to the grid and close the circuit according to the module display. 2. Full Automatic Operation: Set the module to the "Automatic" position, and the set will enter the pre-start state. In the automatic state, the status of the municipal power supply is automatically detected and distinguished through external switch signals. In the event of a power failure or power outage, it will immediately enter the automatic start-up state. When municipal power is restored, it will automatically switch to open circuit, decelerate, and stop. After municipal power is restored to normal, the system confirms it within 3 seconds, and the set will automatically open the circuit and disconnect from the grid, delay for 3 minutes, and then automatically stop. It will also automatically enter the next pre-start preparation state. First, turn on the power key and directly press the "Automatic" button. The set will then automatically start and accelerate. When the hertz meter, frequency meter, and water temperature gauge display normal readings, it will automatically close the circuit and connect to the grid. It includes pre-state automatic control, municipal power status automatic detection, set automatic start-up, automatic connection to the grid, automatic disconnection from the grid, automatic shutdown, fault automatic tripping, shutdown, and alarm.
