About 17 kilometers long, the total area of the river basin is approximately 143 square kilometers. The Li Cun River nourishes numerous villages on both banks, yet it is also unable to escape the pollution impact brought about by urban development.

In the 1980s, industrial development and population growth placed immense pressure on the Li Cun River ecosystem. Gradually, the river transformed from clear to polluted, with sediment from domestic wastewater continually raising the riverbed, leading to frequent flood risks during the rainy season.

The Li Cun River's treatment incorporates sponge city design concepts. Based on the national pilot area for sponge city construction in Qingdao City, the Li Cun River basin has been designated as a key area for Qingdao's sponge city development. Sponge measures have been systematically implemented to transform the green spaces surrounding the roads in the academician industry core area upstream of the Li Cun River.

The hydraulic open-flume gate is used in pipelines, box culverts, or channels. It serves to flush, prevent backflow, and regulate flow. In the water level control system before the overflow of rainwater in the drainage network, the gate controls the liquid surface height of rainwater inside the drainage pipe.

Due to the stringent requirements for weir gate sealing and the difficulty of on-site assembly, the main approach is to be carried out in the factory.The installation was completed by assembling the components and hoisting them into place. This project included equipment such as hydraulic flow limiters and weir gates, all of which were custom-made for the client. To ensure the equipment arrived on time at the customer's site and to maintain normal production without affecting the production schedule, the shipment was organized and dispatched in a timely and orderly manner.
