Ozone technology has been slower to take hold in China, primarily due to its adoption in mineral water and purified water production facilities, as well as in high-end residential communities where quality water supply is a priority. Ozone generators are used for water treatment, disinfection, and sterilization. As people's understanding of ozone deepens, the high-efficiency, low-cost broad-spectrum sterilization and disinfection capabilities of ozone generators are gaining wider application. Now, most pharmaceutical and food manufacturers in China are using ozone machines for efficient and rapid disinfection, sterilization, and preservation of production lines and products, while also conducting strict air disinfection in production facilities. Moreover, the medical sector is beginning to use ozone in the prevention and treatment of certain human diseases, with hospitals employing ozone generators to disinfect wastewater before discharge. Urban sewage treatment systems are also using large-scale ozone generators for sterilization, odor removal, and decolorization, as well as the decomposition and disinfection of residual agricultural chemicals in fruits and vegetables, and preservation treatments. Ozone applications in Japan, Germany, France, the United States, Canada, South Korea, Russia, and other countries have industrialized, expanding from water treatment to industries such as chemicals, food, medicine, and semiconductors. The experimental research of ozone directly used in human disease treatment has also seen rapid development.


Ozone equipment, also known as ozone generators or ozone machines, is a general term for devices or machines used to produce ozone gas.Ozone possesses bactericidal, deodorizing, decolorizing, and oxidizing properties, and is widely used in industries such as space sterilization, water treatment, and medical fields. As ozone is in a transient state at room temperature and pressure, it cannot be stored and must be produced and used on-site. Any location that utilizes ozone employs ozone equipment. The ozone equipment consists of ozone tubes, ozone power supplies, gas source units (including air compressors and purification devices), and electrical control units.


The principle of ozone equipment is based on the fact that ozone oxidizes and decomposes the glucose oxidase, which is essential for bacteria to metabolize glucose. It can also directly interact with bacteria and viruses, damaging their cell structures and nucleic acids, decomposing DNA, RNA, proteins, lipids, and polysaccharides, thereby disrupting the metabolic growth and reproduction processes of bacteria.
