The hydraulic bending machine includes a bracket, a worktable, and a clamping plate. The worktable is placed on the bracket and consists of a base and a pressure plate. The base is connected to the clamping plate via a hinge, with the base comprising a shell, a coil, and a cover plate. The coil is placed in a depression within the shell, with the cover plate covering the depression's top. During operation, the coil is energized through a wire, generating an attractive force on the pressure plate, thereby holding the thin plate between the pressure plate and the base. The electromagnetic clamping allows the pressure plate to be shaped for various workpiece requirements and enables the processing of workpieces with side walls.
During the bending process of the bending machine, the space between the upper and lower molds is not pressure. The required bending angle is achieved by adjusting the mold's die depth. This bending method is called the bending gap. The deeper into the lower mold, the smaller the bending angle of the bending machine, and vice versa. Due to the elastic material, it is also necessary to consider the amount of springback and overbending during bending control. The advantage of the bending gap is that you can use a smaller number of molds to achieve various forming angles, requiring less processing and pressure. Typically, to achieve a good bending effect, the ratio of material thickness T to the width of the V-shaped opening of the lower mold V under T:1:8V:
Hydraulic bending machine operation should be mindful of the following points:
During this process, the descent automatically stops upon applying pressure to the weak point, and the pressure increases or rises significantly at a slower pace, without any descent or ascent.
2. Auto-stop when pressure is reached; an increase is normal, not a rapid drop, but the normal pressure of the product.
3. High and low voltage products; sometimes normal, half the time abnormal; but when one is normal, the other isn't. Both sides normal, the middle is abnormal.
