TowerCraneThe tower crane, also known as a telescopic boom crane, is a type of crane with a rotating boom mounted at the top of a vertical tower. The articulated tower crane is a type of tower crane that can bend its boom according to the requirements of the lifting operation. It features both boom and trolley telescoping capabilities.
Tower cranes are essential lifting equipment in both modern industrial and civil construction. They are extensively used in construction projects, particularly in the construction of high-rise and ultra-high-rise industrial and civil buildings. Tower cranes are primarily employed for installing building structures and industrial equipment, as well as transporting construction materials and components. Their main function is the vertical transportation of heavy loads and short-distance horizontal transportation within the construction site.
By structural form
Fixed Tower Crane: A tower crane that is anchored to a foundation or structure with connecting components for lifting operations.
2. Mobile Tower Cranes: Cranes equipped with travel devices that can be moved. Depending on the type of travel device, they can be further categorized into rail-mounted, tire-mounted, truck-mounted, and crawler-mounted.
Self-Raising Tower Cranes: Tower cranes that rely on their own specialized equipment to increase or decrease the standard tower height or to climb the entire structure themselves. They are further divided into two types based on the method of elevation: attached and internal climbing.
Articulated Tower Crane: A self-raising tower crane that anchors the tower to a building using support devices at specified intervals.
Internal climbing tower cranes: Tower cranes installed inside buildings, equipped with specialized devices that support the structure, allowing the entire crane to ascend with the increase in the building's height.
In rotation form
1. The Top-Swing Tower Crane: A tower crane with the swivel bearing mounted on the top of the tower. It can further be categorized into tower cap swivel, top swivel, top-swing platform, and swivel column types.
2. Swing Tower Crane: A tower crane with a rotating bearing set at the bottom of the tower, allowing the tower to rotate relative to the base frame.
By installation method
Non-self-erecting tower cranes: Tower cranes that are assembled and erected into a complete unit by relying on other lifting equipment.
2. Self-erecting Tower Cranes: Tower cranes equipped with their own power units and mechanisms that enable the transition between transport mode and working mode.
Please divide according to the amplitude mode
Luffing Tower Crane: A tower crane where the lifting trolley moves along the boom to change the lifting radius.
2. Telescopic Boom Tower Crane: A tower crane that adjusts its lifting height through the pitching motion of the boom.
3. Telescopic Tower Crane
